Off the hose, or off the wall arm. Keep it in your other hand, because it is going straight back on.

Cartridge already inside. Hand tight is tight enough, no spanner and no tape.

Before you buy
The honest version.
Will my shower feel different?
The water changes. The spray does not. Universal has no spray plate of its own because your head is still doing that job, so pressure and pattern stay as they are. If you want those to change as well, you want a SUHAE shower head rather than a filter.
Is it visible?
Yes. It adds a short section between your hose and your head, so it sits in plain view. Most people stop noticing it within a week. If you would rather see nothing new, Radiance and Nourish hide the filtration inside the handpiece.
Why is it cheaper than everything else?
Because you are buying the filter and not the shower head. Universal is the filtration alone, in a housing that borrows your existing head. It is the same reason it is the easiest one to try.
Should I just buy Radiance instead?
If you were already going to replace your shower head, yes, and you can skip this page. Universal is for the people who are not replacing anything, who rent, or who want to find out whether filtered water is worth it before spending S$149.
What does it not do?
It is not a water softener, it is not a drinking water filter, and it does not claim a flow rate or a pressure gain. It reduces chlorine exposure and it carries the Care Series actives. That is the job.

PUB chlorinates on purpose, and it works.
The water that reaches your flat is safe to drink, and the residual chlorine is what keeps it that way the whole length of the pipe. We are not going to argue with that.

What is the difference between Universal and the SUHAE shower heads?
Universal is the filter on its own. It threads onto the shower head you already have, so nothing is replaced. Radiance at S$149, Nourish at S$99 and Aura at S$249 are complete shower heads with the filtration built in, and they change the spray as well as the water. If you are not replacing your shower head, Universal is the one for you.
How do I choose between the three Care Series?
Sensitive-Skin Care uses jojoba oil, bottleweed extract and panthenol, and suits skin that feels tight or reactive after a shower. Deep-Hydrate Care uses hyaluronan and glycerin to support moisture retention. Scalp-Soothe Care uses calamus and houttuynia extract and is aimed at the scalp rather than the body. Is Universal a good way to start before buying a full SUHAE shower head?
Yes, and it is the reason it exists. At S$49.90 it is the lowest cost way to find out whether filtered water makes a difference to your skin and hair. If it does and you later want the spray and the finish as well, Radiance and Nourish are the handshowers and Aura is the rain shower.
